If they are similar to the ones made by the major cystal manufacturers they
should have the same pinout. It seems to be standard - Gnd on pin 2, Vcc on
pin 4, etc.

The OSC 48-11C has 4 terminals on the top of a rather large rectangular
metal box labeled E1,E2,E3, and E4. The box is 11 cm long by 3.7 cm wide by
5.2 cm high. There are two access screws on the end marked "fine" and
"coarse". This module looks almost exactly like an old Motorola oscillator
module with a model number of "K1052A ASP06". The difference is the OSC
48-11C is in a steel case while the Motorola unit is in a machined aluminum
case with three terminals in the same location labeled E1, E2, and E3.
Somebody has already sent me some info about the Motorola unit. I suspect
the Motorola unit is a copy of the OSC 48-11C, which I think is maybe a
double oven design.

The OSC 91-21 module is in a steel case 5.1 cm square by 1.5 cm high. There
are only three terminals in a line by one corner. The center terminal is
clearly the case, but I don't have a clue about which one is the RF out and
Vcc input, and voltage required. I don't want to "experiment" with the two I
have as both appear to be new and never used.

If you don't find that model on their web site, I've had good luck
just calling them. They've emailed me the specs and pinouts of OCXOs
I've picked up elsewhere.

Jim, I've had good luck as well doing the same, but Ovenaire has exchanged
hands several times through the years and had finally ended up with Corning
Frequency Products.

I've contacted Corning at least several times by E-mail and have received
zero response from them. On the other hand I have been very pleased with the
help I have gotten from Isotemp and Vectron. Both have sent me complete data
sheets even on old obsolete products! Now that is customer service.

You're probably right. I recently contacted Isotemp and Railtron and
got good results. I don't believe I have contacted Ovenaire.

OTOH, I have sometimes had better luck just calling vendors rather
than emailing. I think they find a phone call harder to ignore than an
email.

Corning has absorbed a lot of oscillator/crystal companies including
Telequarz who had the best technical publications and software.
No longer all available.
