Works well with plastic 35mm film cans as well...
Carefully drill a hole in the top the size of your coax - snug fit. If its
one of those fancy adult-proof tops, this may not be good. Go to a film can.

Cut a slit from the hole to the edge, with the trusty ole' Exacto knife.

Slip coax into hole via slit, connector towards indside of top.

Pull coax so connector is up against top.

Snap cover onto container.

Hopefully this is useful in some way...
