I am thinking about buying a second hand Tek 2792 spectrum analyzer. Can
anybody give me some recommendations or comments about this unit?

What about parts, service manuals, repair difficulty.......I know that this
a surplus market unit.

I'd be curious what you hear. The 2790 series seemed to be pretty
similar to the 490 series, which is very well-documented. But the
contemporary 2782/2784 models weren't documented at all beyond the
module level.

Maybe Jim Yanik (ex-Tek service guy) will see your inquiry and respond.
You also might try the TekScopes reflector at Yahoo Groups.
