[I originally posted this two and a half years ago... we'll see if I have
any better results this time...] Hi, Has anybody heard of the booklet, "RF Oscillator Circuit Analysis and Design with Breadboard Experiments" or of its author, one John Plastonek? I purchased a copy of this booklet back in 1999 from an ad in the back of Nuts & Volts and really like it. For me, Plastonek hits just the right blend information, and having breadboardable circuit designs that have all the components values calculated is a tremendous benefit compared to textbooks that leave it up to you to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Unfortunately his company, listed as "RFLS, P.O. Box 9185, Gaithersburg, MD 20898-9185, phone (301) 528-6671" is no longer around, and his e-mail address of just bounces. The reason I care is that the last page of this book claims there are -- or would be -- other booklets titled: "Crystal Oscillator Circuit Analysis and Design with Breadboard Experiments" "RF Receiver Circuit Analysis and Design with Breadboard Experiments" "Frequency Synthesizer Circuit Analysis and Design with Breadboard Experiments" "RF Amplifier Circuit Analysis and Design with Breadboard Experiments" ....and I'd very much like to obtain copies of them if they actually ever did see the light of day. Does anyone know whatever might have happened to Mr. Plastonek and his booklets? Thanks, ---Joel Kolstad |
