Default E. F. Johnson Rotary Inductor 226-3

This unit is rated at 13.5 uh.

Does anyone have the per turn inductance for this unit? Approximately
2/3 of it is close wound, and one third is wide spaced.

Please send to .

Thanks, Paul K6PY

If you don't have a MFJ-259B antenna analyser (also capable of measuring
inductance at actual freq in range 1.8 -174 MHz)
,you might be able to borrow one from a local fellow ham.
It's an excellent instrument for such a purpose. It enables you to make a
graph at every turn at the desired frequencies
The wider spaced turns are probably used for 'tuning ' the higher
frequencies where the capacitance between the turns becomes a significant
factor.
