4-400 HF Amplifier
I was just wondering if anyone out there might have a schematic of an
amplifier using a single 4-400 tube in grounded grid configuration that they might have constructed or even a website with one? It doesn`t have to have tuned input or power supply with it. I can do the math and figure out values for it, but thought I might check and save myself some time. Thanks for any info, Rob WB8VWI |

Thanks for any info, Rob WB8VWI ====================== An RF Power amp. for the HF bands with 2 4-400's in grounded grid configuration can be found in ARRL Handbook 1986 , pages 30-40 and 30-41. Input circuit is very simple ,perhaps too simple for a solid state front end transceiver. In the old days with valve transceivers having their own PI tank tuning ,this was acceptable. Suggest you also have a look at AG6K's web site which has a lot of info re RF power amplifiers with valves. Frank GM0CSZ / KN6WH |
