There is a group for people building Paul Wade's 222 transverter at
Yahoo Groups: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/222Club/ See Paul's website at http://www.w1ghz.org/222xvtr/222.htm The transverter is designed to mate with the Yaesu 817, but it will interface with any rig as long as you're careful not to exceed the maximum power input to the transverter. I wouldn't call the transverter "super high end" so if you want to use it for EME, you might need to add some stuff to make it work in such demanding applications. However, for casual contesting and operating, it should be more than sufficient! I have the circuit board for it (it's TINY!) and will be building it after I finish up my 10 GHz transverter project (hopefully before Field Day!!)
