I'm hoping I can get some ideas and guidance here...
Here's the story so far: I'm trying to build a Narrow Band (and/or Super Narrow Band) FM Receiver, targetted primarily at frequencies around 75MHz (The band our Fire service operates on here). Now, I know the MC16136 IC would be almost perfect, and I can find many circuit diagrams for it, as well as for the famous TDA7000 (and children of the TDA7000), however, I can't find a reliable source in New Zealand for these two ICs. So what I am looking for is, a circuit diagram for a NFM receiver that uses current production chips, that I can get my hands on. (I am considered building a few of these, but not enough that I can order these chips from overseas). If anyone has any ideas, or places I can try, etc I would very much appreciate the input. I do have some electronic skills, and can build basic single layer PCBs, so I'm not a total novice. Obviously what-ever I eventually come up with, I will be posting such circuit diagrams on the Internet, share and enjoy, etc.\ Thanks, Nick |
