JD1/MT - MINAMI TORISHIMA, OC-073
Masa,JD1BMM, is working again on Minami Torishima (Marcus Isl., OC-073)
from Dec 18 2008 until Jan 7,2009. During his little spare time he will
focus mainly on the lowbands including a 500 watts amplifier.
Masa prefers QSL cards via the JARL bureau.
Direct QSLs (2$/1 IRC, no registered mail) should be sent to: Masafumi
Ishihara, 2-305 Loran, 2-5-35 Miyazaki, Chuo-ku, Chiba, 260-0806,Japan.

JD1/OG - OGASAWARA ISLANDS, AS-031
Hiroyuki,JD1BMH (JG7PSJ), and Makoto,JD1BLY (JI5RPT), will be active
from Chichijima Island (AS-031) which belongs to Ogasawara between
Dec 28 and Jan 2, 2009. They will be QRV in CW/SSB/digital modes on
160-6m and via satellite (emphasizing lowbands). QSLs via homecalls.

OA - PERU
Fred,OA4/DL1NL, is working in CW only from Peru until the end of Dec.
QSLs via his homecall DL1NL.

PJ4 - NETHERLAND ANTILLES, BONAIRE, SA-006
Larry,PJ4/WO0Z, is going to spend his holidays on Bonaire (SA-006) from
Dec 26 until Jan 4. He works "holiday style" concentrating on 17m/30m.
QSL cards should be sent via his homecall.

Randy,K7LNR, is also the opinion that Bonaire Island is a nice place
to spend his holidays from Dec 21-27. He has been spotted as PJ4/K7LNR
mostly in PSK on 20m and 30m. QSLs also via bureau to his homecall.

S2 - BANGLADESH, AS-127
S21RC, S21AM, S21DM and S21S will activate St. Martin's Island (AS-127)
also known as Narical Gingira (which means Cocos island) by the end of
December.They will work in SSB and RTTY on following frequencies (kHz):

Their QSL manager is EB7DX, he confirms QSL cards only direct via:

TU - COTE D'IVOIRE
Phil,F4EGS, returned from Tajikistan where he made more than 5000 QSOs
as EY8/F4EGS. He will start working in Abidjan, the capital of
Cote d'Ivoire, on Dec 25. He will be QRV as TU8/F4EGS in CW/SSB/RTTY on
HF until the end of Feb 2009. QSL direct or via REF bureau via F4EGS.
His next plans for 2009 include Mauritius and Rodrigues where Phil will
show up as 3B8/F4EGS and 3B9/F4EGS in March. He also plans to become
QRV as TT8PK from Chad for two months between May and July and from the
Tunisian island Djerba in August. Most likely he will show up as 3V8SM
from there which is the clubstation of the Tunisian scouts.

XE - MEXICO
The "DXXE Group" celebrates its fourth anniversary and activates the
call 4A1DXXE in SSB, CW and RTTY on all bands from Dec 25 until Jan 6.
The QSL manager is N7RO (also via LoTW).

7P - LESOTHO
Danny,ZS6AW, will be active mostly in SSB on 20m signing 7P8AA
from Dec 24-27. QSL cards also via bureau to his homecall ZS6AW.

ENGLAND, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
Terry,GM3WUX, will be QRV as GB2HLB from Dec 26 until Jan 22. This is
to remember Louis Braille who was born 200 years ago on Jan 4, 1809.
Braille invented the embossed printing used by the blind.
Each QSO will be remembered with a special QSL card.

THE NETHERLANDS, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The Kanaalstreek department of the VERON (Region 27) celebrates its
30th anniversary on the air signing PA30KST in all modes on all bands
including 6m, 2m and 70cm until Jan 1, 2009.
QSL via bureau or direct to Johan,PE9DX.

INTERNATIONAL POLAR YEAR (IPY)
Francois,F8DVD, marks the 4th "International Polar Year" (IPY) by
activating TM4IPY in CW/SSB/digital modes on 30-10m from Dec 29 until
Jan 11. Francois will send special QSLs with a photo of the Concordia
Antarctica base. QSLs should be sent via the REF bureau or direct via
Francois Bergez, 6 Rue de la Liberte, F-71000 Macon, France.

OH CONTEST/DX MEETING
The 14th annual meeting of the CCF (Contest Club Finland) and the
OHDXF (OH DX Foundation, http://www.ohdxf.fi) will take place again
onboard the Viking Line M/S Gabriella from Jan 16-18, 2009. The ferry
is going from Helsinki via the Aland islands to Stockholm and return.
