Greetings All: The 55th annual World Scouting Jamboree on the Air
(JOTA) is scheduled for 20-21 October this year. JOTA is an annual
event that enables scouts around the world to communicate via amateur
radio. The challenge is to match up interested scouts with Ham
operators willing to participate.

If you are interested in working with scouts to help them earn their
Radio Merit badge and participate in JOTA you can visit the following

operator assistance is appreciated for a Scout Merit Badge University
scheduled for 20 Oct at Iowa Western Community College in Council

Here is an example of JOTA participation. Members of the
Plattsmouth Amateur Radio Club will be operating from Boy Scout Camp
Eagle, near Fremont, NE, in support of the Wagon Wheel Boy Scout
District Fall Camporee. During this event the HAM operators will
introduce well over 100 scouts to the adventure of amateur radio.
Contact a Scout Troop near you and participate in the fun.
