"Ham" radio specialists used locating equipment to find the 78-year-old man. He was wearing an electronic transmitter bracelet when he was found near Eighth Avenue and Willamette Street in the downtown area. Two hours before that, his wife had reported him missing from their home east of the University of Oregon campus, Lane County sheriff's officials said. |
