Todd Cavanah Promoted To VP/Programming For CBS Chicago

CBS Radio Chicago has promoted Todd Cavanah to VP/Programming for their
cluster. Cavanah has worked at CHR B96 96.3 WBBM-FM since 1990 and has
programmed the station since 1993. His new position will add oversight of
the clusters AAA 93.1 WXRT, Country US 99.5 WUSN, Classic Hits 104.3 K-Hits
WJMK, Sports 670 The Score WSCR and News 780 WBBM/105.9 WCFS. Todd Cavanah
has been named Vice President of programming for CBS RADIO Chicago as
announced by Tim Pohlman, Senior Vice President and Market Manager. In this
new role, Cavanah will work closely with the markets six brands including
WBBM-FM (Top 40), WJMK-FM (Classic Hits), WUSN-FM (Country), WXRT-FM (Adult
Alternative), WBBM-AM/WCFS-FM (News), and WSCR-AM (Sports). With nearly 30
years of programming experience, Todd will be a strong and capable leader
in this newly created position for CBS RADIO Chicago, said Pohlman. I am
excited to see him lend his programming expertise and knowledge across all
of our iconic brands. Cavanah, a 30 year radio programming veteran, most
recently has worked locally in Chicago at WBBM-FM, where he began as an
on-air personality in 1990, before being promoted as the stations Program
Director in 1993. Cavanah has also been instrumental in launching two of
the marquee concerts in the Chicago market: B96 Pepsi Summer Bash and B96
Pepsi Jingle Bash. Since 2011, he has also held a dual position as Program
Director of WJMK-FM. Before arriving in Chicago, Cavanah spent four years
as a local promotion representative at Elektra Records in Denver before
working in the programming department at KRXY-FM.

Matt Pinfield To Host Daily Alternative/Rock Show

In addition to his new duties as morning host at Cumulus 104.5 KFOG San
Francisco, Matt Pinfield will also anchor a new two hour evening show for
Westwood One. 2Hours With Matt Pinfield will be targeted to Alternative and
Active Rock stations to air from 10pm-12am weekdays and will debut on May 2
on Cumulus owned stations including: Alternative 101.1 WKQX Chicago and
Active Rockers 93X KXXR Minneapolis, 96 Rock WFTK Cincinnati, Rock 100.5
KATT Oklahoma City and 103.3 The Edge WEDG Buffalo. Westwood One describes
the show as Your listeners will hear the best active and alternative rock
music along with artist interviews and stories about the band and the songs
as only Matt Pinfield can share! 2Hours with Matt Pinfield will feature a
nightly trending track… a throwback tune along with social connection on
Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Westwood One has announced that new KFOG
morning host and respected rock jock Matt Pinfield will host a new two-hour
weeknight show, appropriately called –2Hours with Matt Pinfield. The show
will launch the week of May 2 and it already has a roster of stations lined
up, including WKQX-FM/Chicago, WFTK-FM/Cincinnati, KXXR-FM/Minneapolis,
KATT-FM/Oklahoma City, and WEDG-FM/Buffalo. Drawing from his long history
as a figure in rock media, 2Hours with Matt Pinfield will feature artist
interviews and stories about the bands and the songs from the core library
of active and alternative rock. 2Hours with Matt Pinfield will include a
nightly trending track, a throwback tune, and social media interaction.

Rutgers-owned WRSU/New Brunswick. He moved on to WHTG-FM/Asbury Park, and
by 1995 was hosting 120 Minutes for MTV. His musical knowledge and
relatable delivery, MTV research declared he was their most loved VJ. He
hosted more than 15 regular shows, 100+ specials, and his style was the
template for the original MTV2. With those enviable credentials and much
more radio and TV under his belt, Pinfield is also known as the current

Radio Training Network Acquires 92.1 The Palm Columbia

Davis Media is selling one half of its Columbia SC operation to Radio
Training Network. RTN has filed to purchase AAA 92.1 The Palm WWNU Irmo
from Davis for $1 million. Radio Training Network owns multiple regional
Christian AC networks including His Radio in North and South Carolina. WWNU
will join 106.3 W292EU as their Columbia affiliates. Unaffected as of now
are Davis Medias Country 94.3 The Dude WWNQ Forest Acres and their
ColaDaily.com local news site.
