WW2COS Memorial Day Special Events Activation

The Mighty 8th Air Force Radio Club will be activating the club station,
WW2COS, for Memorial Day Holiday. We will be on the air about 9:30 am and
run until about 3 pm. We will be transmitting on 20 meters.

The Clube Radioamadores do Entroncamento, with special call CS2ND will be
active May 26, 27 and 28 from Noudar Castel (WCA reference CT-0021, DCFP
reference C-021, DMHP reference BJ-015 and DMP reference 0204 for the
Portuguese Castles Award). Operation will be on HF- SSB,CW and DIGITAL.
Noudar Castel is located in the Province of Beja in Barrancos vilage.

Hi everyone,



Dmitry Zhikharev, RA9USU called me from Bir Tawil on the satphone 20 min
ago.



I will not make any statements for him, but would like to relay the
following:



He has made about 500 QSOs so far, and was giving his generator a rest
while he made a phone call. He will be on tonight on 40 and 30 meters, and
that is all. They will be leaving the area in the morning. He is there with
an entourage of several people on two jeeps. He has a problem with a power
supply, and lets hope it...
