Belize Amateur Radio Club no longer exists



In 1993, the IARU Secretariat published a Calendar announcing that the
Belize Amateur Radio Club (BARC) was no longer representing the amateur
radio operators in Belize and that no responses had been received by the
International Secretariat to any communications sent to BARC



No communications were received from BARC within a period of 180 days after
the publishing of that IARU Calendar.



In fact, no...

Australian pico ballooner honoured



The Wireless Institute of Australia has recognised the record breaking
achievements of Andy Nguyen VK3YT by naming him in its WIA Merit Award
program, while one of his pico party-type balloons VK9WI flew at high
altitude.



Andy VK3YT was given the WIA Technical Excellence Award for his work with
the pico space balloons, including one that circumnavigated the Southern
Hemisphere nearly three times....

First ISS reflection from Europe to North America



After two weeks of preparation Tim, G4LOH in Helston, Cornwall, England
Grid IO70jc and Roger, VE1SKY Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, Canada Grid FN74iu
used FSK441 to try a Brendan Quest style reflection off the International
Space Station (ISS).



Employing AMSAT satellite software, both stations aimed at the calculated
grid HO11nl for a 144.175 MHz QSO attempt with a mutual window of less than
1 minute....

This should be an exciting year for System Fusion at the Dayton Hamvention.



We hope Yaesu will surprise us as they have in past years so be sure to
visit the Yaesu booth at the Hamvention.



The System Fusion Forum will be on Saturday, 5/21 at 2:30 - 3:30 pm ET in
Forum Room #3.

Yaesu will be presenting at the forum and conducting a questions & answers
session afterwards.



145.69 MHz will be the simplex frequency for System Fusion Digital Voice...
