CBS To Spin-Off Radio By End Of July

CBS Radio will become an independent operation by the end of the month.

After seeking a buyer for the group to no avail, Bloomberg reports that the
plan was included in a corporate prospectus for senior notes due in 2020.
CBS announced plans in March to divest the radio division of the company,
much like it did to its Outdoor holdings in 2015.

CBS CEO Leslie Moonves told San Diego radio host Dan Sileo in April the
divestiture would most likely come in the form of a spin-off as opposed to
a sale.

Cooper Lawrence Show Takes Mornings At WBLI

Following the exit last week of Dana Didonato and Jayson Prim, Cox Media
CHR 106.1 WBLI Patchouge NY has hired Cooper Lawrence and Anthony Michaels
to fill their spot.

Lawrence most recently spent four years as co-host of 95.5 WPLJ New Yorks
Scott Todd (later Todd Show). Michaels previously programmed Greater Media
Hot AC 107.9 The Link WLNK Charlotte where Lawrence originated her former
syndicated Cooper Lawrence Show.

Cox Media Groups WBLI-FM Long Island announces a new morning show, The
Cooper Lawrence Show, featuring Cooper Lawrence and Anthony Michaels,
beginning Monday, July 11. A radio vet known for her syndicated show (Dial
Global) aptly named The Cooper Lawrence Show, Lawrence spent four years
co-hosting the Big Show with Scott and Todd from 6-10am on WPLJ-FM/New
York. Michaels has two Gracie Awards, one Crystal Award for Best Radio
Show, a Marconi nomination and a two-time Greater Media employee of the
year award.

Were excited to have Cooper and Anthony join us here at 106.1 BLI, said BLI
Director of Branding and Programming Jeremy Rice. Were looking forward to
our listeners getting to know them and having them be a big part of the
Long Island community.

Lawrence also worked for WHTZ, KTU and WOR where she produced the Joan
Rivers Show. On television, she co-hosted VH1s Confessions of a Teen Idol
with Scott Baio, spent two years as the relationship expert on The Tyra
Banks Show and was one of the original co-hosts of Dish Nation. She is
currently an entertainment reporter and writer for SheKnows.com and Fashion
Police contributor at Us Weekly.

I am beyond excited to join the incredible Cox Media Group family and to
represent the legendary call letters, BLI, added Lawrence. What a dream
come true to work with John Shea, Jeremy Rice, Nancy Cambino, and Steve
Smith. How thrilling to do mornings on a powerhouse station that has been
such a part of the fabric of long island for so long and in the market
where I grew up. More women need to run more morning shows, especially with
a primarily female audience. In this vein, once again, BLI and the CMG team
prove they are trailblazers who are keenly in touch with their audience.
