https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...-kitchener-on/

Bell Media Hot AC 105.3 Kool-FM CFCA-FM Kitchener ON is stunting on the way
to a new format.

CFCA is currently stunting with Christmas Music until Friday, July 29 at
12:00pm when it will debut its new format. At this point were expecting the
station to become Bells eight Virgin Radio CHR as 1053VirginRadio.com
and .ca were registered anonymously by Bells registrar in June.

CFCA-FM placed fourth in the Kitchener-Waterloo market in the Spring 2016
Numeris ratings with a 7.6 share. A move to CHR would place the station up
against Corus 91.5 The Beat CKBT-FM, which ranked third with an 8.3 share.

With the upcoming change in format afternoon host Andrew Gerrior has exited
the station.

Entercom will launch its first live, syndicated radio program, Beyond
Reality Radio, (BRR) a two-hour talk show about the paranormal, beginning
on August 1, airing Monday through Thursdays, live in each time zone
(beginning from 12am-2am ET). Co-hosted by Jason Hawes, co-founder of The
Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) and creator and star of Syfys Ghost
Hunters and JV Johnson, hes a long-time paranormal investigator and current
publisher and editor of TAPS ParaMagazine.

Entercom stations that will carry the program include KJCE/Austin,

The first episode airing on Entercom stations will feature Grant Wilson,

a guest. It is the first time that Wilson and Hawes have been together for
a live, publicly broadcast event since Wilson left Ghost Hunters in 2012
after eight seasons.

Were thrilled to partner with Entercom so that well be able to reach even
more of our fans, and connect with those who are interested in or curious
about the paranormal in a variety of ways, in real time, said Hawes. To
have Grant on the first show on Entercom on August 1 is a great way to
celebrate this new venture. Were dear friends and have always been in touch
since he left Ghost Hunters, but we havent done any live events together
since 2012, so I know our fans will really enjoy it.

Radio has a long history of programs about the paranormal, dating back to
the 1920s, so its very exciting to bring BRR to the airwaves with Entercom
and continue this tradition, but with a contemporary twist, added Johnson.
Well be engaging with our listeners not only through call-in, but through
our digital platforms. So while were reaching a larger audience, were also
creating a community with which were intimately connected.
