and a cancellation by another vendor... because I hadnt arranged for a

The Engineering Class at our small local high school is scheduled to launch
a high altitude balloon into outer space this coming Tuesday Morning, March
7, 2017 at 7:30 AM.



All of the kids in the Engineering program are licensed Amateur Radio
operators. Since the start of the engineering program 3 years ago, we have
had 14 kids pass their Technician, General or Extra Class Amateur Radio
licenses, out of a total of approximately 150 kids in grades 9 -12.

found them lacking, because they do not include over-the-air audio showing
what the operator on the other end hears. For this test, I was lucky
enough to encounter DV3XUK in the Philippines, and record several minutes
from his Yaesu FT-450D,...

A NEW vhf radio "Ericsson" now on ISS Space Station !

Included as part of the successful launch of the SpaceX Dragon 9 (mission
CRS-10 of 19 february 14:39 UTC) vehicle to ISS is an ARISS Ericsson 2
meter radio.





This radio will replace the Ericsson radio that failed a few months ago.





Now this NEW radio is installed in the european module the COLUMBUS ,for
the VHF contacts to the schools on Earth.
