KOKO-FM Flips To Rhythmic Oldies Jammin 94.3

Art Laboes Big Broadcasting has flipped Classic Hits 94.3 KOKO-FM
Kerman/Fresno CA to Rhythmic Oldies Jammin 94.3.

The station is now positioning as Fresno’s Old School and Throwbacks with a
mix of RB from the 70s through 2000s with core artists listed as Usher,
Keith Sweat and Beyoncé. Laboes program will continue to air on the station
weekdays from 7pm-12am and Sundays from 6pm-12am. KOKO-FM is a 6kW Class A
rimshotting Fresno.

KOKO-FM is now being programmed by consultant Mike Marino. Marino, who
previously oversaw Hot 92.3 KHHT Los Angeles during its period as an RB
leaning Rhythmic Oldies station, also programs the music at Jammin 99.5
KMRJ Palm Springs and Jammin 101.5 KJHM Denver.

The format will go head to head with Cumulus Medias own Rhythmic Oldies
Mega 97.9 KMGV and its stronger Class B signal within the market.

Big Broadcasting’s KOKO-FM in Fresno, California is moving to a new groove
following its switch to Rhythmic-oriented Jammin’ 94.3 FM. The move from
Oldies came after 10 straight hours of Bob Marley’s classic “Jammin’”
filling the airwaves prior to launching into Tupac and Dr. Dre’s
“California Love.”

Jammin’ 94.3 Fresno’s Old School and Throwbacks’ station features a blend
of classic and contemporary RB from the 70s to the 2000s. The music covers
artists such as Usher, Keith Sweat and Beyoncé, and features RB music that
listeners know and love, combined with the very best sounds of today.

Big Broadcasting, Inc. owner and legendary air personality, Art Laboe’s
syndicated radio program “The Art Laboe Connection” will continue to air
Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to midnight and on Sundays from 6 p.m. to
midnight on Jammin’ 94.3.

Legendary programmer at the music and imaging helm

The station is being programmed by legendary L.A. programmer, Mike Marino,
who successfully launched the Old School and Throwbacks format at KHHT/Los
Angeles, KJHM/Denver and KMRJ/Palm Springs.

Mike Marino said, Our unique blend of old school and RB throwbacks super
serves an adult female audience ignored by other contemporary and
gold-based radio stations in the market. Passion levels for this music is
off the charts. Fresno will get the ‘feels’ from Jammin.

Big Broadcasting, Inc. enters into a programming and sales agreement with
Envision Networks®, placing the focus squarely on the production, music and
on-air image of Jammin’ 94.3 FM.

A change is afoot in mornings at Beasley Media Country 92.5 WXTU
Philadelphia as Frank Lario exits after two and a half years co-hosting
with Andie Summers.

In a brief blog post on the WXTU website the station wrote, Big news
happened right before Thanksgiving. Frank let us know that he will no
longer be on the show with us. This was his decision and were sure he gave
it a lot of thought and feels that he’s doing what’s in his best interest.
We loved working with him and we wish him well.

Lario joined the WXTU morning show in March 2016 after previously serving
as a weekend host for the station. He previously had runs at Rock 93.3 WMMR
and 94.1 WYSP in the market.

Beasley has posted its opening for the morning co-host position at this
link.
