Entercom Sports 105.7 The Fan WJZ-FM Catonsville/Baltimore MD is revamping
its on-air lineup starting Monday, February 8.

Current evening host Jeremy Conn will move to mornings to join Rob Long and
Ed Norris on the “Big Bad Morning Show” from 6-10am. Conn had moved from
afternoon co-host to nights last February. He has been with the station
since 2006 and also hosted Baltimore Orioles pregame shows in 2020.

Jerry Coleman will host Sports with Coleman from 6-10pm as opposed to
serving as part of the morning show as he has since 2017. He previously
hosted nights at the station prior to exiting at the end of 2015 and has
also served as an Orioles and Baltimore Ravens reporter for the station.
Coleman has also served as APD of Fox Sports 1370 WVIE in Baltimore and
worked at WTEM Washington.

Entercom announces an updated weekday programming lineup for 105.7 The Fan
(WJZ-FM), Baltimore’s leader in live and local sports talk.

As part of the updates, Jerry Coleman, co-host of the station’s “Big Bad
Morning Show,” will transition to host “Sports with Coleman,” weekday
evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET. Subsequently, evening host Jeremy
Conn will now serve as morning show co-host and be heard on “Big Bad
Morning Show” alongside Rob Long and Ed Norris weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to
10:00 a.m. ET. Both changes are effective February 8.

“With his vast knowledge of sports and his connections to the sports world,
Jerry Coleman was born to host his own show,” said Tracy Brandys, Senior
Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Baltimore. “Jeremy Conn will
bring his unique brand of humor, his extensive gambling knowledge, and his
signature bits to morning drive. We appreciate both Jerry and Jeremy’s hard
work and dedication to 105.7 The Fan and are excited to have two Baltimore
natives serve as bookends for our impressive weekday lineup.”

“Switching from the mornings to the evening will allow me to bring back
‘Sports with Coleman’ and grow my brand,” said Coleman. “Im grateful to
Entercom for this opportunity.”

Jerry Coleman has served as morning show co-host since 2017. He will also
continue to provide 105.7 The Fan’s “Fan Flashes” throughout the day.

“I am unbelievably excited and humbled to join the ‘Big Bad Morning Show,’
said Conn. “I am also nervous to work with two former cops, considering my
shady background thank goodness for the statute of limitations. Ed
[Norris], Rob [Long], producer Joe LaCroix and myself will have fun and I
am confident Baltimore will laugh their way to work each morning.

Jeremy Conn has been with the station since 2006 and has served as evening
show host since 2019. He recently led the station’s “Big Mo Show,” which
honored the late Baltimore super fan, Mo Gaba.

Charlie Thomas Retires From Mornings At Eagle 96.9 Sacramento

Posted: 29 Jan 2021 07:39 AM PST
https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...-9-sacramento/

Charlie Thomas has announced his retirement from Entercom Classic Rock
Eagle 96.9 KSEG Sacramento.

Thomas has been a staple in the market since 1984 originally at 93 Rock
KRXQ. In a statement to co-workers shared by Entercom Thomas noted, When I
moved to Sacramento 36 years ago, I thought it was a stepping stone to the
“Big Time.” Didn’t take long to realize it would become my home. I’m proud
to have become a part of this community…served up a rockin’ soundtrack for
its residents and in some measure helped to provide a voice for them.

Radio is about one-to-one connection, and that mission continues, though
the tools have changed. When I started, we were cueing up vinyl records on
turntables, and editing tape with razor blades on reel-to-reel
decks…where’s my grease pencil??

It’s been quite a journey, staying in the same place. I’ve met a number of
incredible and talented people along the way – too many to mention, and
thank…and a *few* weasels as well! Definitely want to give props to my
Eagle folks and my fellow staff in the early days of 93 Rock. It’s been a
privilege to work beside you and a pleasure to be with Entercom these last
23 years.

As I hang up the headphones, I look forward to exploring more of the world
outside the studio walls, and listening to 96.9 The Eagle as a civilian
now. Oh, and I WILL be sleeping past dark-thirty every day.

Market Manager Stacey Kauffman added, There is simply no way to properly
acknowledge thirty-six years of dedication and success on one station…the
last twenty-three of which Charlie Thomas has given to Entercom
Sacramento,” said Stacey Kauffman, Senior Vice President and Market
Manager, Entercom Sacramento. In his well-deserved retirement, he leaves
behind a truly indelible mark, not only on this company and our industry as
a whole, but most importantly on the people of Sacramento. He is so much
more than a top-tier broadcaster – he is a top-tier human being. He has a
true gift for making that special connection with his audience and will be
remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to experience that
connection first-hand.

Holiday 2020 (12/3 - 1/6) Nielsen Audio PPM Ratings Day 3: Holiday Magic In
Orlando

Posted: 28 Jan 2021 02:00 PM PST
https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...ic-in-orlando/

Day 3 of Nielsen Audios PPM releases are now available for Portland,
Charlotte, San Antonio, Sacramento, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas,
Orlando, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Kansas City, and Columbus.

All the numbers can be found at RadioInsight.com/Ratings.

iHeartMedia AC Magic 107.7 WMGF Orlando had the highest overall share for
todays releases. After leading the nation in the December monthly with a
13.3 share, WMGF rose to a 17.0 up from a 15.4 in Holiday 2019 and 14.3 in
2018. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes that is the highest share recorded in
the Orlando market since 1971.

Beasley AC “K104.7” WKQC Charlotte continues its four year Holiday upswing
growing 11.0 – 12.9 – 14.5 15.6. Huff adds that is the largest share in
the market since 1988.

For the first time since 2015, Bonneville AC 100.3 KSFI failed to generate
over a 20 share of the Salt Lake City market. After a 23.2 in 2017, 21.8 in
2018 and 21.1 share in 2019, KSFI only reached an 18.5 share in 2020.

The continued three-way Christmas battle in Portland saw the two big
players down from 2019. iHeartMedia AC “K103” KKCW hit a 12.9 share this
year following 13.9 in 2019 and 16.2 in 2018. Entercom Variety Hits 97.1
Charlie-FM” KYCH was down from a 6.7 in 2019 to 4.9 in 2020, while Salem
Christian AC “104.1 The Fish” KFIS-FM was barely up 3.0 to 3.1.

iHeartMedia AC Q101.9 KQXT San Antonio rises from a 10.5 in 2019 to a 11.3
this year.

The Christmas station battle in Pittsburgh narrows this year. Perennial
leader 94.5 3WS WWSW continues its four year downward slide 16.4 13.6
13.6 13.3. Renda AC Wish 99.7 WSHH rebounds 7.6 to 9.0 year-to-year.

Bonneville AC “Mix 96” KYMX Sacramento rebounds from a 12.6 in 2019 to a
13.6 in 2020.

After surging from 12.8 to 15.8 last year, iHeartMedia AC “Sunny 106.5”
KSNE Las Vegas slips back to a 14.2.

The top Christmas station in Cleveland see-saws back for the fourth
straight year. iHeartMedia Classic Hits Majic 105.7 WMJI rose 10.8 to 11.6
from 2019, while Entercom AC Star 102.1 WDOK fell from a 11.8 to 10.0.
Salems “95.5 The Fish” WFHM no longer subscribes to Nielsen and Rubber City
Radios 107.3 WNWV was stunting in 2019.

iHeartMedia Variety Hits 93.3 The Bus WODC Columbus slipped 9.4 to 8.9.
Saga AC “Sunny 94.7” WSNY held a 9.7 share in 2019 but no longer subscribes.

Cumulus AC “Warm 98.5” WRRM Cincinnati continues to slip 14.6 13.1 12.3
over the past three years. Pillar of Fire Christian AC Star 93.3 WAKW does
not subscribe.

The Christmas battle in Kansas City narrows. Cumulus Classic Hits 94.9
KCMO-FM slips 12.8 to 10.4 year over year, while Steel City Media AC “KC
102.1” KCKC jumps up 5.0 to 7.1.

A potential reason for the Christmas stations being down in Portland could
be the performance of two non-commercial stations. Classical 89.9 KQAC
surged 3.9 to 5.2 month-to-month for what Huff notes is a new station
record. Jazz 89.1 KMHD rose 1.5 to 2.1.
Hot AC is usually one of the formats to slip in the Holiday book. One
exception was iHeartMedias My 99.5 KJMY Salt Lake City with a 2.7 to 3.1
gain.
Three Adult RB stations had significant month-to-month gains. Radio Ones
105.3 RB WOSF Charlotte rose 3.7 to 4.9. Beasleys Jammin 105.7 KOAS Las
Vegas was up 3.1 to 3.6, and Coxs Star 94.5 WCFB Orlando was up 5.8 to 6.5.
iHeartMedias Alt 105.7 WXZX Columbus continues to grow following its flip
in early November rising 0.8 1.1 1.5.
