DXCC NEWS.............
DXCC YEARBOOK. Many have been reporting receiving their yearbook in
the mail this past week. Your editor received his last Friday.

VU4 QSL PRESS RELEASE. Bill Moore, NC1L, ARRL DXCC Manager, sent out
the following press release last week:
Clarification VU4RBI/VU4NRO QSL cards for DXCC credit.
We are accepting VU4RBI/VU4NRO QSO cards. A few cards have been rejected
on the basis of incomplete information on the cards. We apologize to
Bharathi, NIAR, et.al. for any misunderstandings.
If you received a QSL card complete with all data (time, date, band,
mode and callsign), there is no problem. If you have a QSL card with
less than complete data (callsign only, missing time/date, etc.) we will
need to see the card at HQ. This is usual procedure. Blank cards and
cards missing information are always subject to inspection at HQ. Do not
add the missing information. As always we strive to maintain the highest
integrity possible in the DXCC program.
Ms. Prasad has graciously agreed to supply additional log information
where necessary. If you have only an incomplete card, do not alter the
card by filling in the missing information. Simply send us the card, and
we will try to obtain the fill. If you expect a direct QSL, it would be
easier on everyone involved if you would wait for the direct card.

KP1-5 PROJECT UPDATE. A press release by KP1-5 Project Committee was
sent out last week stating that two Amateur Radio operators testified on
Capitol Hill May 26th during an oversight hearing conducted by the House
Subcommittee on Fisheries, Conservation, Wildlife and Oceans on the issue
of access to the nation's wildlife refuges. The Amateur Radio operators
advocated the reopening of Navassa (KP1 / IOTA NA-098) and Desecheo Island
(KP5 / IOTA NA-095) to Amateur Radio use. Since the press release is very
long, the complete announcement will be sent to all OPDX InterNet
Subscribers as an additional bulletin.

P4, ARUBA. John, KK9A, will be active as P40A during the CQ WW DX SSB
Contest (October 29-30th) and the CQ WW DX CW Contest (November 26-27th)

QSL INFO AND NEWS...................
Goran, YZ1SG, reports that the logs for 5Z4YT1CS (Nairobi) and
5Z4YT1CS/M (Lamu Island AF-040) operations are now available online
at: http://dx.qsl.net/logs/index.html
Please note that the correct callsigns are 5Z4YT1CS and 5Z4YT1CS/M
(not 5Z4/YT1CS and 5Z4/YT1CS/M). Goran also states, "The original
logs are in paper format (except about 1900 QSOs made in CQ WW) so
there could be some errors in typing. If you can't find your QSO,
you can send me an E-mail ), and I will check the copy
of the original log." The QSLs for these operations are finally printed
and Miki, YT1CS, will start answering all requests very soon.

Graham, M5AAV, reports that effective immediately, he is now the QSL
Manager for John, 9M6/G3OOK. QSL requests can be by the Bureau or

"proper" 9M6 callsign in the near future - when he does he (Graham)
will be handling the QSLs.

Steve, AK0M, informs OPDX that cards were received from the printer
in April for his February C6ASB operations and were of poor quality.
The cards are being reprinted, but as of June 3rd, he has not yet
received them. He hopes to have the cards by mid-to-late June, but
he doesn't have a promise date from the printer yet. They are photo
QSLs and should be nice cards. Steve states, "If you are in a hurry
and have submitted a request already, you can send me an E-mail at
my QRZ.com address for AK0M, and I will send you one of the cards from
the original printing. My apologies to those who are still waiting."

Larry, N4VA, QSL Manager for Manju, S21AM, informs OPDX that the correct
QSL route for the recent S21SHQ operation is: AMINUL KAWSER KHAN, Deputy
National Commissinor, Bangladesh Scouts, PO BOX #5130, post code 1205,
DHAKA, BANGLADESH. Larry does not have any logs for that station, and
Manju, S21AM, states not to send QSL cards to him.
