4S, SRI LANKA (IOTA Op). Joel, F5PAC, will be active as 4S7PAG between
November 28th and December 16th from the Sri Lanka (main island - AS-003).
During his stay he will take a short trip to Barberyn Island (AS-171)

5H, TANZANIA. Hans/DL6JGN and Jan/DJ8NK will be active as 5H1GHW and
5H1JCH, respectively, from October 13-20th (possibly with 5 addional
days). There will also be an operation from Zanzibar Island. Activity
will be on 160-10 meters CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. QSL via their home
callsigns.

5Z4, KENYA (African Tour/IOTA Op). Vladimir, UA4WHX, is now active as
5Z4/UA4WHX from Nairobi. Activity will be on 80-10 meters CW/SSB. He
was heard this past weekend on 80/30/20/17 meters CW and 15 meters CW/SSB.
Unfortunately, his rig was badly damaged while in Ethiopia. However,
Enrico, 5Z4ES, was able to provide a spare radio which he cannibalized
from other radios, but it still does not work correctly.*Vladimir is using
borrowed equipment for the time being. If he can resolve his equipment
problem in time, he intends to operate from Lamu Island (IOTA AF-040).
After Kenya he is planning to visit Uganda (5X), Tanzania (5H), Rwanda
(9X) and Burundi (9U). QSL via his home callsign.

9M6, EAST MALAYSIA (Contest/IOTA Op). Saty, JE1JKL, will be active as
9M6NA in the 2005 CQWW DX CW Contest (November 26-27th) from Labuan Island
(OC-133) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (20m) entry. QSL via JE1JKL (E-mail

9V, SINGAPORE. The Singapore Amateur Radio Transmitting Society (SARTS) is
pleased to announce that as of September 29, 2005, the Infocomm Development
Authority of Singapore (iDA) approved the allocation of the 7.1-7.2 MHz
band for Singapore amateurs with immediate effect on a secondary use basis.
This supplements their existing allocation 7.0-7.1 MHz.

CT3, MADEIRA ISLAND. Jose, CT1BOH, is expected to be active during the
CQ WW DX CW Contest (November 26-27th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power
entry. The contest callsign and QSL route will be announced later. Visit

FS, SAINT MARTIN (IOTA Op). Pierre, F5AHO, will be active as FS/F5AHO
from Saint Martin (the main island - IOTA NA-105 and DIFO FS-001) between
November 9-18th. Activity will be mainly on 20/17 meters SSB. Look for
him to be on Tintamarre Island (NA-199 and DIFO FS-002) from November
11-13th, between 1400-2000z. QSL via F5AHO, direct or by the bureau.

HB0, LIECHTENSTEIN (Topband Op). Topbanders should mark their calendar for
this one. Operators T93M, T93Y, T94DX/DJ2MX and T94JJ/OE1EMS are expected
to be active as HB0/T94DX during the next CQ 160 Meters Contest (January
28-29th, 2006).

IOTA NEWS..................
AS-041. Kenji, JA4GXS, will be active as JA4GXS/4 from Nishino Island
(JIIA AS-041-010 and JA4 - Oki Islands Shimane Prefecture),
October 8th. Activity will be on the IOTA frequencies 40-15
meters CW. QSL via his home callsign, by the JARL Bureau or

AS-100. Jan, 4X1VF informs OPDX that they finally received approval
to operate 30 hours from Akhziv Island. They will operate
next week on Friday and Saturday, starting at 0500z on October
14th until 1400z, October 15th. There will be a new team
consisting of 4Z4KX, 4Z5LA, 4X6HP, 4Z5FI, 4Z4BS and 4X1VF.
There will be 3 complete stations active on 40-10 meters
CW/SSB with power amplifiers. QSL via Ros, 4Z5LA.

AS-117. Operators JE4YAR, JE4NKF/4 and JL4GEL/4 will be active from
from Miya Island (JIIA AS-117-021), Honshu's Coastal Islands,
Hiroshima Prefecture), October 15-16th. QSL via their home
callsigns, direct or through the JARL Bureau.

EU-042. Georg, DK7LX, will be active as DK7LX/p from Foehr Island
(GIA/DID N-17), October 6-12th. Activity will be mainly CW,
with a multiband vertical antenna. QSL via his home callsign.

EU-129. Jens, DD0VD, will be active as DD0VD/p from Usedom Island
(GIA/DID O-13 for the German Islands Award) now through October
7th. This will be a holiday style activity, with participation
in the Scandinavia VHF Activity Contest. QSL to his home
callsign via the bureau.

SA-NEW. (Update) A group of several operators from Argentina will
activate Isla Escondida in the Chubut Province North Group.
The callsign L95WI has been issued. They will leave October
20th, and hope to be ON THE AIR starting the 22nd, operating
24 hours a day with 4 stations until October 24th. Activity
will be on 80-10 meters, CW, SSB and Digimodes. QSL via Dany,

IOTA CORRECTION: Last week we listed under "OC-119" that Wayne, K9YNF,
would be active as K9YNF/KH6 from Kauai Island. The IOTA number was
incorrect. The reference number for Kauai is OC-019.

IS0, SARDINIA. Operators DF1JM, DF1LON, DF4UM, DH4JQ, DJ8VC, DK2CRN, DL1ECG,
DL1EK, DL3EW and DL7AOS will be active as IS0/DL3EW during the CQ WW DX
SSB Contest (October 29-30th) as a Multi-Multi entry. QSL via the Bureau.

J3, GRENADA. Bill, VE3EBN, will be active as J37LR between October 18th
and November 16th. Activity will be on 40-6 meters CW/SSB/PSK31. QSL via
VE3EBN.

K7C KURE ISLAND DXPEDITION. As this was being typed Sunday morning, the
DXA Web reports that the DXpeditions QSOs count is over 37000. Operations
will last through October 6th with tear down on October 7th. News from
their Web page (as of October 1st) reports: "K7C has focused much of their
attention on making European contacts over the past 24 hours. Judging by
a sharp rise in emails thanking the operators for their efforts, many more
contacts there are being made. Solar conditions for the weekend appear
stable, but weak with the SFI at 72, but no storms predicted. Weather
conditions on Kure are very very hot. The operating tents have been
described as ovens during the middle of the day as the blazing hot sands
reflect a lot of heat. Preventing dehydration is a primary concern for
KK6EK who imposed a mandatory break yesterday due to extreme conditions."

KH0, MARIANA ISLANDS. Ten operators from the Mitsubishi Electric Tokyo ARC
(JM1YGG) will be active as KH0/JM1YGG and KH0/homecall from Rota Island,
Northern Mariana Islands (OC-086), October 9-12th. Operators are JA1DFS,
JA1IWP, JA1RNO, JA1RTG, JI1EOP, JJ1EWN, JN2AMD, JA3RAF, JF3IPR and JL3IJK.
Activity will be on 160-6 meters CW, SSB. They also hope to be active on
the digital modes. QSL via JM1YGG, direct (QRZ.com) or the JARL Bureau.

MD4, ISLE OF MAN. Operators G1GEY, G3NKC, G4MJS, G4XUM, M0BEW and M0RHI
will be active as MD4K during the CQ WW DX SSB Contest (October 29-30th)
as a Multi-?? entry. QSL via G3NKC. They are looking for extra operators.

MJ, JERSEY. Members of the International Police Association Radio Club
(ON4IPA) will will be active as MJ/ON4IPA, October 5-10th. Operators will
be ON4PO/Martin, ON6OM/Rene, ON7EG/Martin and ON6ZV/Eddy. Activity will be
on 160-2 meters (6/2m depends on conditions and their equipment) on
CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK. QSL via the Bureau to ON4IPA or ON6ZV. QSL direct to:

A special "Hercule Poirot Award" is available during the activation of
MJ/ON4IPA. The rules a

PZ5, SURINAM. Members of the "Low Land DXpedition Team" will be active
from Paramaribo, Surinam, from November 23rd to December 14th (Some days
they will be QRT for a trip to the inlands). Operators Ronald/PA3EWP and
Rob/PA2R will have two stations with amplifiers on the air. Activity will
be on 160-10 meters on the modes CW, SSB and RTTY. They will also be active
in the CQWW CW and ARRL 10 Meter Contests. The callsigns are PZ5WP (Ronald),
PZ5PA (Rob) and PZ5C for the two contests. The QSL Manager for all three

Jean-Michel, F6GBQ (ex-FT8WA/FT0WA) still has his the logs from his
Crozet activity in 1987. Unfortunatly, he doesn't have any more QSLs.
However, the Les Nouvelles DX (LNDX) has printed a small batch of cards
and he can now answer any card not received in the past. QSL via:

SU, EGYPT. Herve, F5RMY, will be active as SU/F5RMY, October 22-29th. His
activity will be on all bands. He also plans to participate in the CQ WW
DX SSB Contest (October 29-30th). QSL via his home callsign.

SV9, CRETE (Update). Ron, WB2GAI, is now active as SV9/WB2GAI/p until
November 10th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters CW using a Force 12
vertical dipoles. Over the past week he was heard on 30/20/17 meters
running 5 watts QRP. Please QSL via the bureau.

TY0, BENIN. Operator Pasquale, I8QSL, will be active as TY0T during the
CQ WW DX SSB Contest (October 29-30th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (20m)
entry.

V2, ANTIGUA. Team Antigua is please to announce their 12th year of operating
from the beautiful Island paradise of Antigua (NA-100 and FK-97). They
will be active in the CQWW SSB Contest this upcoming October 29-30th, as
V26B once again. They will be active on all bands. As operators arrive
on the island, they will be operating on all bands and modes before the
contest using their own calls listed below. Their operators will also be
on after the contest too! Please QSL the operators via the following

Mike, KA2AEV, reports that Team Antigua is proud to welcome back WX0B

VP2, ANGUILLA. Three members of the Florida DXpedition Group, Inc., will
be on Anguilla between October 25th and November 1st. Participating members
a Bill/W4WX (VP2EWX), Cory/N1WON (VP2ECM) and Clarence/W9AAZ (VP2EAZ).
Each operator will operate a different band during the CQ WW DX SSB Contest
as a Single-Band entry. Look for them on all modes on 160-6 meters before
and after the contest. QSL direct to their home callsigns.
