to all radio amateurs bt

fcc has issued a report and order in pr docket 85 23, adding
and deleting amateur bands at ghz frequencies and editing part
97. these changes are effective 0001 utc march 1, 1986. fcc
has added bands at 47.0 to 47.2 ghz, 76 to 81 ghz, 119.98 to
120.02 ghz and 142 to 149 ghz. removed from the amateur
service are the bands at 1215 to 1240 mhz, 48 to 50 ghz, 165 to
170 ghz and 240 to 241 ghz. the amateur satellite service
receives new bands at 1260 to 1270 mhz, 2400 to 2450 mhz, 3.40
to 3.41 ghz, 5.65 to 5.67 ghz, 5.83 to 5.85 ghz, 10.45 to 10.50
ghz, 47.0 to 47.2 ghz, 75.5 to 81.0 ghz, 142 to 149 ghz and 241
to 250 ghz.

160 meter privileges at 1810 to 1850 khz have been added in itu
region 1.

these changes have been made to complete implementation of the
final acts of the 1979 world administrative radio conference.
