I'm very close to having half-wave verticals for 20 & 15 strung up but this place has turned out to be a whole lot more work than I bargained for when I moved in. For now radio is and has been taking a back seat to buckets of paint and varnish and beyond but there's no way I won't be on the air within the month. Even if it's only on 20 & 15 with the 847, P/S the mic and the paddles. Next up will be 2M via a quickie whip. Getting on 40 & 30 is a possibility but that'll be a race against the WX and I doubt that I'll beat Mother Nature so I'm not banking on it. "Wait'll next year!" grumble Dave K8MN w3rv |
