I have changed my mind

With BPL looking like a sure thing, I now say lets dump the CW testing, and
let the CBplussers have it. How great it will be to have the CBplussers alloyed
on HF and cant talk to anyone. Maybe that was the FCC idea all along, give the
No-Coders HF, and intern with BPL here, they cant talk to anyone. GREAT IDEA..

ARRL Bible, Book of Morse, Chapter 1, Verse 1
Don't worry about it, for it is writter;
And behold, for in the sky I saw a pale rider sat upon a pale horse. The
horse'e name is Codefree, and the rider's name is Capt. Carl.

And it will come to pass that Capt. Carl shall strik down the demon that is
BPL just as had done to the Godless Know-Coders.

As ye shall spend the rest of thy days in peace, without QRM or Morse Code.

So true, if Karl the nut is so great, he better hurry up and get busy on
striking down BPL.
It makes you wonder if the FCC in there plan to put BPL in place, saw Karl as
someone they could use to take the attention off of BPL and put it on CW.

WA8ULX September 27th 03 09:36 PM

I bet you are right!
Capt. Carl is just a sock-puppet for the broadband cartel. Now what will all
the "engineers" do when they can't hear **** on HF?

This is too funny.....

I think its very funny, I can see it now, Captain Karl and his fruitcakes
finally get HF Phone, then find out they cant talk to anyone unless they use
CW.

And how do you expect CW to get through S9+ noise that's uniform
across all of the HF bands?

Bruce ... normally I simply ignore you, but it is time to tell you
directly that you are a total idiot.

If I gave you an hundred dollars cash and took you to a "rent/buy a clue
store" where clues were 5 cents each, you still wouldn't be able to get a
clue,
so why don't you just go back to CB and stop being such a world-class
AH amongst hams?

WA8ULX September 28th 03 01:42 AM

Also, I will be lobbying FCC OET and the Commissioners in the
coming weeks against BPL ... and I've been out in the Emmaus, PA
BPL "pilot" area with local reporters SHOWING them just how bad
BPL really is (after showing them what S0-S9 signals sound like on
a quiet band away from the BPL area so that when they see/hear the
"wall to wall" S9+ "hash" from BPL they understand just how bad
it really is.

So don't give me this "sock-puppet for the broadband cartel" crap.

Carl - wk3c

Well there it is folks, Karl the Nut is going to save Ham Radio. Just think
Karl is going to put these Billion dollar companies in there place. Lets all
bow to Karl the Nut for saving Ham Radio.

Karl do you think I, or anyone except your LOONEY followers care what you say.
Get real Karl, you are a Fruit Cake

so why don't you just go back to CB and stop being such a world-class

Oh Im already there, with you and all your CB Buddies, who now Claim to be REAL

You mean "in their" as in "in their place" instead of "there" as in put it
over "there". Nothing like a third grade education.

Its sure good to know your good for something other than Ham Radio.

Did you read his comments to the FCC? I did. Lots of good, sound, rational
stuff against BPL. Including actual firsthand accounts of the noise.

Hardly the work of a "nut", I'd say.

Just think
Karl is going to put these Billion dollar companies in there place.

Not by himself. But his stuff will surely help.

I filed comments against BPL, Carl filed comments, ARRL filed comments, lots of
folks filed comments - did you file comments, Bruce?

I can hardly wait to hear Bruce's excuse ... on the other hand, the way
he comes across, we'd be better off if the FCC never, ever, heard from
him.

On the issue of BPL, Carl sure does speak for me. I agree with everyhting he
wrote in his comments on BPL. Does that mean I'm not a "real ham", Bruce?

WA8ULX September 29th 03 02:50 AM

The only reason Capt. Carl is "lobbying" is for his loyal Freeband minions.

Capt Karl just hates to see his CBplussers loose out. He knows his constant
complaining to the FCC has let them sneak this end. While Karl and his
CBplusser Buddies, have been diverting the attention to giving all his
CBplussers buddies a FREE RIDE.
I think what really makes Karl upset is the fact that he now knows he has been
used by the FCC. The FCC played Karl like a fiddle.
Come on BPL let me be the first customer.
THANK GOD FOR BPL.. How about us starting a "No-Code BPL Group"?

Well, Carl just told us what he's doing to work against the threat of
BPL. Now, what are YOU doing, Bruce? Anything at all? Or are you too
busy typing "CBplusser" into what passes for an NNTP client on AOL
interface to the newsgroups to be bothered addressing anything that's
actually important to the future of ham radio?

Your personal attack on Carl is really pathetic. Next time you decide

you'll have more brains in your stomach than you seem to have inside

At least he can come up with an intelligent comment, rather than
resorting to nothing more than insults and personal attacks like a
certain guy in Covington, LA.

You'd sign up in a heartbeat, too, I'm sure. After all, you signed up

Go ahead, Bruce, start one. You can be the President, CEO, chief cook
and bottlewasher, and primary spokesperson of the largest ham radio
organization in support of BPL in the entire world! Why, with your
writing skills and well-demonstarted talent for public relations,
there's no doubt in my mind that you'll manage to get BPL accorded
every bit of the acclaim it so richly deserves.

Don't forget to start a BPL conference on AOL while you're at it,
Bruce - I'm sure the pre-pubescent chatroom dwellers on AOL will grow
up at a severe disadvantage unless they have you around to lead them,
and to teach them proper spelling and grammar skills, too.

In fact, you're a shining example of the finest that ham radio has to
offer, Bruce. I'm sure everyone who reads your posts to this newsgroup
is inspired to go out and get a ham ticket just on the off chance that
someday they might be able to put your call in their logbook. If
you're an ARRL member, perhaps you should run for section manager next
time around. I'm sure the ranks of ARRL members in your section will
swell to unprecedented numbers with your leadership.

In the seven years I've been on Usenet before now, I have only
killfiled two persons. Congratulations on being the third.
