They were always a benchmark against which the rational and the unrational could be judged. I suppose all of us that didn't renew are to blame. Certainly the combination of falling ham numbers and hard times haven't helped. Magazine subscriptions have dropped right off the bottom of my list of financial priorities, for instance. "Falling ham numbers", Alun? There's almost double the number of licensed Amateurs now was when I got my first ticket in 72...Where does everyone come up with theses "falling" numbers from? Oh well, I still have my 73 hat. I actually ordered an entirely different free gift, but they ran out of whatever it was. I will miss 73, though. That's not surprising...I subscribed once upon a time and the same thing happened. Seems he was ALWAYS "out" of something, including his mind. 73 Steve, K4YZ |
