Since Jerry has already addressed this so well, there is little reason to
add anything more.

But since you are a no-code tech, we'll let you slide this time.

Obviously, this "no-code tech" knows far more than you do.

Not bad at all, Jerry. Facts are always a good response to obvious
ignorance.

I am posting here because of some of the nasty things I have read in this
group and in QRZ discussions regarding freebanders. We who use the

We are good operators and have knowledge of propagation and skip conditions.
We use Yeasus, Kenwoods and Icom radios just like you do, so we know
technical
issues as well or better. However, the attitude of some hams toward us is
rude and condescending. We are treated like 2nd class citizens. This should
not be. We have the same rights under the constitution as legal hams do.
For those that do not wish to be under Uncle Sam's thumb, freebanding is
a viable alternative to getting a ham radio license. What I am saying is
that maybe the next time you meet a freebander you might talk with him before
you condemn him.

Don't look now, but you're not being treated like 2nd class citizens. You
are, or should be, treated like the first-class CRIMINALS that you are.
Your "freeband" operations are nothing at all like amateur radio -- it's just
a pure and simple fact that you are breaking federal law. It is my sincere
hope that you get the pleasure of meeting Mr. Hollingsworth soon!
