I would assume so. But why would one want to do that to W1AW? Oh...I get
it...you think they do the same thing, right? Wrong. Go listen to both of them. Tell me which one is doing HAM RADIO STUFF, and which isn't. Dan/W4NTI "me" wrote in message nk.net... Sorry, but the point is W1AW, just like K1MAN, starts transmitting on top of
existing QSOs. Neither moves up or down frequency to avoid causing interference. ============================================= "Dan/W4NTI" w4nti@get rid of this mindspring.com wrote in message ink.net... As a non-member of ARRL, I think you have to let K1MAN do everything they do, or stop them both, and I don't advocate the latter. |

This is a violation of the rules. It is not at all the same thing that W1AW does. Dee D. Flint, N8UZE |

What you are missing is that k1man is NOT like the W1AW
bulletins at all. W1AW bulletins last 10 minutes. They are on ONCE a day, weekdays only. IF they interfere with existing QSO's it last only 10 minutes. Nothing anyone would get ****ed about. However, k1man, likes to say he is just like W1AW... well he isn't. His "broadcasts" last 1 1/2 hours, several times a day!!!. So, he is NOT like the W1AW bulletins. He is just an amateur wannabee broadcaster and egotist that thinks he found a "loophole" in the FCC rules, and uses the W1AW bulletins as an excuse. Hey...given this precedent, why couldn't any ham have a 24/7 broadcast on ham radio! Just call it a "bulletin" The call in talk shows is an option. It's time to limit bulletin broadcasts to what W1AW has been doing for their 90+ year history and keep bulletins to 10 minutes and once a day. This should please k1man, the belgrade *******, and ensure that he IS JUST LIKE W1AW. 73, Chuck...K1KW |

Chuck,
You need to check the W1AW schedule. Is ONLY once a day on PHONE. It's also on more frequencies than K1MAN. The original point is that they fire up on existing QSOs. The original post did address programming content. ========================================== "Chuck...K1KW" wrote in message news:wtQFb.432025$Dw6.1328271@attbi_s02... No, the point is W1AW actually sends BULLETINS per the rules and
regulations, which IS PERMITTED. K1MAN has a call in talk show, which is NOT A BULLETIN and is not legal. If you have any doubts of that do a google search and put in K1MAN, then read what the FCC has sent him in the last SEVERAL years. Dan/W4NTI "me" wrote in message ink.net...
