Jim, don't you know why you say the things you say?

Lack of an answer must be due to endorphin overload or lack
of oxygen from the running. Maybe just lack of oxygen from his
rareified heights of code superiority.

Or maybe solder fumes from building a kit to add to his
collection of all home-built and designed ham rigs.

You're right - MUST have been an imposter. Since the same
disincentive has been in place since 1912, I can't imagine TAFKA Rev.
Jim flubbing up like that. Not in a million years.

Whoever forged that post had to have been a complete moron.

My apologies to TAFKA Rev. Jim.

Right! And to his dad, Franz Tafka!

But we're not going back to those days, so other methods must be used. One
solution is to make the question pool so large and varied that it's easier for
99% of prospective hams to just learn the material rather than memorize or
word-associate their way to a passing grade.

USA amateur radio regulations require only a MINIMUM of 10 for every
written test element question. There is NO maximum.

Anyone who wants a "tougher" test that all but the eidetic could not
memorize ought to bug the VEC Question Pool Committee. They
decide on how big the question pool is, not the FCC.

And unless the FCC closes the pools, it's of little use.

Also, too many of those "questions" and thier distractors are
just re-wordings of the same question...Still makes it easier to
"eliminate" the wrong answers rather than KNOW the correct one.

I've been repeating the above for quite a while...but it seems that
"new ideas" have a difficult time catching on...

You also repeated "I'm going to get an Extra Lite out of the box"
several times, but obvioulsy THAT "new idea" didn't catch on, even in
your OWN camp, Lennie.

Of course WE never expected you to keep your word...

Ya Putz.

Thanks, Lennie...In this ONE endeavour you always prevail.

Morse Code endorsement required for opera-

Bad idea. Acts as a disincentive to use CW and digital modes, and as an
incentive to use voice only!

C'mon, Jim, do you really expect us to believe that the Morse Code
exam is a disincentive to using CW on HF?
