Idiot. With responders like you, Pasternak will continue to spam this grou=
p
with his drivel. Then again, this whole group is a collection of trolls.

[In case you weren't aware, the guidelines for the rec.radio hierarchy FORB=
ID
his weekly posting on "rec.radio.amateur.policy". The posts are permitted =
on
"rec.radio.info" (because a specific request to do so was granted) and on
"rec.radio.amateur.misc" (because it is not forbidden there), yet the jerk
continues to post here, and it's assholes like you who respond to him (in a=
ny
way) that will further encourage him to post here. Why does he need to pos=
t
this here anyway - it's all up on his website?

In case you're unaware of Bill Pasternak's activities in producing "newslin=
e,"
ask him why it costs $1,000.00/month (on average) to produce the news, whil=
e his
competitors like "This Week in Amateur Radio"'s Community Video Associates =
or
even the ARRL itself can do it for less than $100/month. Here's why: He's
paying himself a salary - it's not a "not for profit" relationship. Then
there's the matter of his clear BIAS in the news. For example, a few years=
ago,
he did a series of stories about a Los Angeles area repeater (BP is in the =
Los
Angeles area) and its problems with a system in Mexico, and Riley
Hollingsworth's enforcement involvement with the interference complaints. =
Half
of what he reported on about the situation was completely wrong, and the ot=
her
half he made up. How do I know this? I know this because I personally kno=
w the
trustees of that (now former) L.A. system, and I observed the disgruntled
Mexicans lying to BP at a local amateur radio convention. BP made NO ATTEM=
PT to
contact the L.A. trustees for their side of the story - he simply made up
"facts" to fit. His "journalism" is right up there with the level expected=
of
the "National Enquirer", the "Weekly World News", and other such tabloids -=
it
is CRAP.]

1. If he's doing something wrong, report it to his ISP abuse.

2. Think you are going to convert me to your cause by calling me names?

I have been, every week for the past 18 months. His ISP is AOL and they do=

do a damn thing about spammers. I have even quoted the part of the newsgro=

I doubt it. It hasn't phased anyone else who dares participate here on a d=

group" speaks for itself.
