Default Marlan Brando Dead at 80

Marlan Brando was a ham radio operator, and held the call FO5GJ. He
owned an island somewhere in the Pacific where he spent a lot of time,
thus the F05 call, I believe he held a U.S. call as well.
Some years ago I used to work a fellow on 15 metes, a Robert Savery -
FO0RS, if I remember the call correctly. I worked him many times and the
only thing he would tell me about his QTH is that it was an island that
belonged to a very well known person from America who was a ham. He was
the caretaker and took care of maintaing the ham station. I always
suspicioned it may have been Brando's station.
