Oh? You're introducing something new? I've never subscribed to any
such statement. After all, you got in.

I note that you got in as well.

I certainly did, but I'm not the individual who made the peculiar,
unrelated statement here. That was you alone.

Small world.

No, actually it is the same size as it has always been.

I note that you call this
statement a "morse myth" and not a "battle cry". Would you like to
reconsider or reframe your statement?

Would you like me to?

It'd only be fair since Dan made no statement about morse testing
keeping out "riff-raff", "William".

"David," the "riff-raff" argument is an old one engaged in by the
PCTA. Am I "alone" not allowed to have a "memory?"

Would you like me to re-post what Dan wrote and what you replied? Your
memory must be fairly short if you can't recall that. It was only a few
short days ago. Dan's comments had nothing to do with keeping riff-raff
out of amateur radio.

Probably a waste of time, Dave.

I quoted and requoted His Putziness's own words that he claimed
he didn't say despite being given headers, dates, message addresses,
etc.

"Double standards", etc, only count if he is trying to disparge
one of us.

Leonard H Anderson and Brian P. Burke may lie, deceive,
misrepresent and otherwise act a fool at will, and that's "OK"...To
them, anyway. They think they are "cute" or somehow being "free
thinkers" or "independents".

I just think they are irresponsible, arrogant liars, myself.

Lord knows they've been caught at it often enough. Their
deceptions (or attempts at it, anyway) and misrepresentations are
archived in the volumes by now.

"David," you have my permission to repost whatever you like. Thanks for caring.

I'm happy to be able to help you on this one, "William".

Dan's statement was:

"As in front of the FCC? Most certainly. I never said being CW tested
makes you have any sense."

You replied:

"But that used to be one of the battle-cries for the PCTA."

You are simply amazing. Thank you for reposting that little gem.

Yepper, "Morse Code testing keeps out the riff-raff."

So I guess if you're Morse Code tested in front of a mere VE, then
it's not as effective or something. Hi!

I wonder if K1MAN was morse code tested in front of a steely-eyed FCC
field engineer who wasn't going to let any crap happen on his watch,
or in front of a cream-puff Volunteer Examiner who brought the coffee
and donuts?

I'm all for reviving that old PCTA battle-cry, "Most Certainly!"

Quitecertainly.

Sheesh.

Dave K8MN

Sheesh, indeed.
