The League and amateur radio all but disappeared during WW1, then were reorganized soon after Armistice Day. Jim, even you can't rewrite history well enough to lend credence to that statement. The "war to end all wars" began in the summer of 1914 (August, IIRC). The first issue of QST was published late in 1914 (December, IIRC).
