Default The Cassini Probe [Was The Cassini Probe and...]

In article .com, "K4YZ"
writes:

Tsk. You mean like "Sorry, Hans, MARS IS amateur radio!"

I got it backwards...my bad.

You don't have it backwards, forwards, or sideways. You just
don't have it.

Sure I do.

I have an Amateur Radio Extra Class license...You don't. You
profess to know about Amateur Radio, yet have no practical experience
in it.

Len also has no experience in radio regulation, yet professes to tell all what
the regulations for the Amateur Radio Service should be.

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion, of course. But there's a big difference
between an opinion and an informed opinion...

I have an FAA Airman's Certificate and have currency in 3 types.
You have NO certificate of any type and no time in anything with wings
except as a paying passenger.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, Steve - but doesn't that sort of certification
require a certain number of hours in order to renew?

I have multiple licenses as a healthcare provider.

Again correct me if I'm mistaken, Steve - but doesn't that sort of licensing
require a certain number of continuing education credits in order to renew?

IOW, it's not just what you know - it's also about what you continue to learn.

You've never acknowledged that the University of Illinois is
NOT a correspondence school.

The University of Illinois does have extension courses.

You've never acknowledged anything close to working military
communications in a long service with the U.S. military. You've
never acknowledged any working knowledge of common small-
unit military radios in use during that U.S. military service.

Sure I have. Again, YOU ignore it. And YOU did not have but 3
years of "service with the U. S. Military). I beat that many times
over.

More to the point: Of what importance is that knowledge in amateur radio
policy?

You've never acknowledged any working knowledge of Yiddish
yet you freely use at least one Yiddish pejorative in many public
postings.

Nor do I have a "working knowledge" of Japanese, Serbo-Coratian, or
Tagalog, yet I can speak enough words of each to ask for help, find a
cop and get drunk. I can speak conversationalist German and Spanish.

Dang, that's more languages than I know at that level.

You speak...What...???

Please tell us just how competent YOU are in Yiddish. (use of a
search engine notwithstanding).

You've never acknowledged the real reason for your very short
"career in electronics engineering" as a purchasing agent for a
set-top-box maker that lasted less than half a year.

I never said I was an engineer. And you still don't have the facts
of my employment there correct.

What does it matter? If someone disagrees with Len, there's no possible
employment or education they could have that Len would find significant, except
to make fun of it. Look at K8MN's resume - then see how Len treats him.

I stated several times over my reason for leaving nursing for a
while in 2000. Everyone else that's been in here any length of time
knows...except you...why is that? And I was there much longer that the
"less than half a year" you keep falsely reitrating.

Also, I did not work for a "set top box maker". The company I DID
work for occupied the opposite end of a building from that company
(ANTEC). We rented space on their servers. You've also been told that
over and over yet keep trying to make an issue out of it.

See above.

You've never acknowledged that the U.S. military did NOT make
you any sort of pilot of any military aircraft despite implying
that
you were licensed as a private pilot before entering the military.

I never said I was a military aviator. You are welcomed to try and
find ANY quote ANYwhere that says otherwise. And I WAS licensed before
I went on active duty. My initial Airman's certificate was signed in
August 1974. I went on active duty in September 1974.

Please don't confuse Len with facts...;-)

Again, facts you've been provided with over and over, but seem to
want to lie about over and over.

You've never acknowledged many, many mistakes you've made
in here, constantly over several years.

Nor does Len. Shall we discuss 97.21(b)? That's an amateur radio issue.

Unlike you, Lennie, I don't keep making the same mistakes over and
over.

You've never acknowledged any knowledge of radio-electronics
circuitry behind the front panels of amateur radios, yet you claim
to be knowledgeable about "radio."

I AM knowledgeable about "radio". Do I have a doctorate level
degree in engineering...??? Of course not. But then I don't need it,
either. I've built radios from scratch and from kits...I was paid by
Uncle Sam for 2 decades to maintain aircraft (and some ground) radios.
I am the owner/operator of a federally licensed radio station.

Besides, no matter what knowledge you claim, Len would make fun of it.

Remember when I was challenged about my knowledge of the Smith chart, and I
wrote some sample problems and their solutions? Didn't make any difference to
Len.

As to the alleged claim about LIQUID methane in my personal
environment, that is quite wrong. The liquid form of methane

can
only exist at temperatures rather well below the coldest found

on
Earth. The "critic" seems familiar only with the GASEOUS form
of methane. [may the aldehydes be with him...] To use a
colloquial term, that critic is "a gas." Peee-uuuu.

Oh, I KNOW what temperatures methane liquifies at.

Then write it. Demonstrate that methane can exist in liquid form
anywhere on the Earth's surface.

And I know what a cold piece of work you are.

98.6 F average.

Not in your heart.

And my reversal of the probes names notwithstanding, you're STILL
a putz, Lennie...

You were going good there, Steve, but then you had to toss in that word...

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Calling others the equivalent of "penis head" is
not
considered "civil" and that is certainly not "reasonable
discourse."

We've seen the results of YOUR "civil discourse", Lennie.

Let's see - "shut the hell up, you little USMC feldwebel" - that's a Lenism.
How about "Nazi" and "jackbooted thug"? Lenisms too.

I may be crude and unrelenting in my exchanges with you, but I am
not a liar, and at the end of the day, it's all about character.

Or you could say you were just pulling Len's leg. That's what he says....

Just don't take him so seriously. Nobody else does.
