Reports of the Near-Space Ballooning project's demise are greatly exxagerated....... - Mike KB3EIA - No lumps. There's still lots of things I'd like to do. Some will have to wait for retirement. Coslonaut is still wanting a round of hearty high-fives for something he HAS NOT DONE YET! :-) Maybe there will still be some in "the box" when he gets around to it. You mean the "box of cereal," the one with the astronaut wings in it? :-) Tsk. The "near space" thing has already been done by "real" hams. Mikey can't claim any "pioneering" things about that now or in the future. He still seems to want all those congratulations for somthing not done yet. Curious. I'm surprised big badass dave hasn't jumped in here yet harrumphing about getting a license or shut uppa yo face. :-) [just call him davie] :-) [oops, spoke too soon...:-) ] Tsk. It's not been my intention to get any amateur license. I got a commercial license (with the FCC on the first exam) some 49 years ago...and used that. My advocacy is just to eliminate the morse code test. So many sorry asses in here just don't see that. Because they can't see that, they invent all sorts of motives. Tsk, tsk, tsk. If anyone wants to see what got me interested in REAL radio, there's two documents on this site: http://kauko.hallikainen.org/history/equipment/ Look under "Stations" for the PDF links. Both will take about an hour to download at dial-up data rates of 50 KBPS. |
