No lumps. There's still lots of things I'd like to do. Some will
have to wait for retirement.

Coslonaut is still wanting a round of hearty high-fives
for something he HAS NOT DONE YET! :-)

Maybe there will still be some in "the box" when he gets around to it.

You mean the "box of cereal," the one with the
astronaut wings in it? :-)

Tsk. The "near space" thing has already been done
by "real" hams. Mikey can't claim any "pioneering"
things about that now or in the future.

Have you read any statment by Mike to indicate that he was looking for
pioneer status?

He still
seems to want all those congratulations for somthing
not done yet. Curious.

Congrats on your upcoming "Extra right out of the box", Leonard.

I'm surprised big badass dave hasn't jumped in here
yet harrumphing about getting a license or shut uppa
yo face. :-) [just call him davie] :-)

Okay, Lennie, (or should I use "little wizened Lennie"?) It is much
more entertaining to let you type until your fingers bleed, about
something in which you are irrelevant.

[oops, spoke too soon...:-) ]

You do that frequently. :-)

Tsk. It's not been my intention to get any amateur
license.

The issue of whether you have had an intention of obtaining an amateur
radio license seemingly depends upon the tides. You've indicated that
you want such a license. You've indicated that you don't want it. Tsk.

I got a commercial license (with the FCC
on the first exam) some 49 years ago...and used that.

....not for amateur radio operation, you haven't.

My advocacy is just to eliminate the morse code test.

So you've said. In practice, you're actions and words extend far beyond
that claim.

So many sorry asses in here just don't see that.

It'd be easier to see if it happened to be true.

Because they can't see that, they invent all sorts of
motives. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

You have to have at least one motive. Nobody obsesses about the
regulation of something in which he isn't involved over a period of
twenty years. Why it would take a complete crackpot to do... Oh.
Never mind.

If anyone wants to see what got me interested in
REAL radio, there's two documents on this site:

http://kauko.hallikainen.org/history/equipment/

I appreciate your interest in REAL radio. What got you interested in
amateur radio to the extent that you decided to set out to change it to
something which meets with your approval?

Look under "Stations" for the PDF links. Both will
take about an hour to download at dial-up data
rates of 50 KBPS.

No thanks. It is likely more of the same stuff we've read here for
nearly a decade.
