Does anyone know what the callsign(s) of the Edmund Fitzgerald were? (I am asking because I don't know...Not to quiz others...) That would be Special Event Station N8F, according to the news release below: Special Events - November 2005 Remembering the Edmund Fitzgerald For the 9th consecutive year, members of the Stu Rockafellow Amateur Radio Society will be in Whitefish Point and Paradise, MI, to put Special Event station N8F, “Remembering the Edmund Fitzgerald” on the air 03-06 Nov 2005. On 10 Nov 1975 the Fitzgerald and her crew of 29 went down in Lake Superior approximately 17 miles from Whitefish Point, MI. Target frequencies are 3.860, 7.260, 14.260, 18.160*, 21.360, and 28.360* kHz (*secondary). No CW operations because of ARRL CW Sweepstakes. Also, teaming up with SRARS this year are The Stillwater Amateur Radio Association from Stillwater, MN, using their club call sign, WØJH, operating from The Split Rock Lighthouse State Park at the West end of Lake Superior (Lighthouse #USA783), and The Arrowhead Radio Amateur Club from Duluth, MN, using their club call sign, WØGKP, operating from the Duluth area. N8F contacts send a 9x12 SASE (60¢ return postage) for certificate to W8VS/N8F, Richard Barker, 264 N. East St., Brighton, MI 48116; ; http://www.qsl.net/w8njh. WØJH contacts send 9x12 SASE ($0.60 return postage) to WØJH, 1618 West Pine St., Stillwater, MN 55082.
