I was diagnosed dyslexic, many years ago, have
largely learned
to live with it by now (I am 34 yo and have a BA)
Having gotten back to
dealing Ham Radio, I am back to dealing with Morse
to at least recieve
a bit of and to docment today, my dyslexia, which
would allow both
various changes in the Testing requirements. I
need refences to to
help point my doctor ( an allergist) toward a test
or three that would
support the fact that I still have dyslyexia today
(FCC dysbility
requierments don't seem to realize that some
things really don't get
much better with time) Idealy one that will lend
some support to the
idea that I still have it, but are not too
expensive to for him to
order given to me

There are no tests your allergist could use.

If you want the question answered, you need to go see a licensed
psychologist or licensed school psychologist. "licensed" is key.

Not awfully expensive, and should get you good answers.

And I might add that CARD XII's suggestion of a "psychologist" for
your problems was al ill-informed as your attempt to use an
"allergist".

Had you taken my advice years ago and followed-up with a
NEUROLOGIST you might have already been an Extra or General.

That would not be correct. There have been no waivers allowed for the basic
5wpm. The only waivers that existed were for the 13wpm & 20wpm. Or do you
mean that the neurologist could have advised him on training and testing
approaches to learn and pass the 5wpm?

No, I meant that he could have gotten past all of that over 5
years ago had he done what was suggested. Markie was correct in his

It wasn't "medical advice"..."Medical advice" is preparing and
implementing a care plan with PRESCRIBED diagnostics, thereapies,
treatment or medicines. Even suggesting a dose of Tylenol can, under
certain review, be considered "medical advice" although Tylenol is an
OTC medication.

I suggested you see a neurologist. You chose not to do so.
That's a very clearly authorized NURSING function.
