Give us a hint on how many letters we need to change your
insult into English.

As I remarked before, it takes only ONE letter change to
turn "Worf" into "wolf." Or vice-versa.

Hans emulates a computer (a higher order of modem) , refusing to use
his "wetware."

He takes a tip from Dave; deliberate misunderstanding.

I disagree. Hans is a long-time mariner and his "wetware"
is more concerned with water than speculative fiction.

A "wharf" is most directly related to "wet" things, a
place to dock ships. Ships float in water. Ships need
good handlers with good "wetware" to maneuver them.

Now, Herr Worf, I suggest you have a glass of "a drink fit
for warriors" (as Worf has remarked more than once)...
prune juice.

He might feel better after a couple of hours. Or he might not.

It's been said that "a prune is a plum with experience." :-)

Actually, I've always liked the taste of prunes, they
being both sweet and tart at the same time. A personal
favorite dessert is prune whip, mashed prunes in meringue.

If I need to "speed up" bowel movements I take a laxative. :-)

In either case, I hope his proposal to modernize the amateur service
makes it to an NPRM.

SO DO I!

One class of license, no morse code test, all bands anytime,
everything optional. Free, open, for life.

A one-time "entry level" license for those who need to
learn, adjust to a new environment...non-renewable, make
it in ten years or give up and go to another hobby.

It's almost too revolutionary...many of the existing hams
just can't handle that. "The bands" don't exist JUST for the
existing hams, they are for ALL in the immediate future.

Option is no failure.

If a person needs status that might come from holding an amateur
license, they will have to do so through deeds, not a government
supported merit madge system.

There you guys go...Dissing Madge again...What did SHE ever do to
YOU...?!?!

I think Madge has a LOT of merits, most of all that she HAS an
Amateur license.

Lennie doesn't. That means Madge's stock is worth more in an
Amateur Radio forum.
