Oh?

Where is this established?

Hot Flash Hot Rod...Amateurs have been using QSL cards with notes
of condolence, get well, congratulations, etc etc etc for almost a
century. This is a very time-tested and accepted practice.

Mine's on the way. Where's yours?

Oh?

WHICH "arrl manual"...?!?!?

Volume? Edition? Page? Author?

Any FACTS to back this up?

Any place in ANY "arrl manual" that specifies a law that says an
QSL card can NOT be sued for ANY OTHER PURPOSE...?!?!

BTW...KC8VKZ's QRZ listing showed almost 21,000 hits when I
looked. Seems a lot of other Amateurs are gearing up to send him a QSL
card, Markie.

You figure all 21,000 of them (20,998 if you don't count you and
I) don't know about this alleged reference of yours?

no laws govern qsl cards that I know of

perhaps they will send him greating cards or perhaps death threats I
would have no idea

I have no coment on the subject

they may be curius to confirm there is ham by the name listed no reason
to assume they are going to do anything more than check the reference

Uh huh. They are. But YOU stated that this alleged "rule" was in
the "arrl manual". So in WHICH "arrl manual" does this proclaimation
exist?

Any place in ANY "arrl manual" that specifies a law that says an
QSL card can NOT be sued for ANY OTHER PURPOSE...?!?!

So then your "argument" here is simply to impede those who might be
so predisposed as to send this guy (An NCT, by the way...) a greeting
and offer of best wishes.

BTW...KC8VKZ's QRZ listing showed almost 21,000 hits when I
looked. Seems a lot of other Amateurs are gearing up to send him a QSL
card, Markie.

"greating" cards? Cards that are better than others?

And Markie, ONLY YOU would make such an outlandish statement about
a fellow NCT'er who's laid up in a hospital bed.

You figure all 21,000 of them (20,998 if you don't count you and
I) don't know about this alleged reference of yours?

Obviously you do.

they may be curius to confirm there is ham by the name listed no reason
to assume they are going to do anything more than check the reference

And maybe they are going to send the guy a QSL card with some
words of encouragement....And according to "QRZ.COM", no small number
of them are sending funds. I get paid Friaday and will follow suit.

No, I did not lie. Note the "quotes".

YOU are the one suggesting that a QSL card cannot be used for any
purpose other than confirming QSO's.

YOU are the one who stated that this is in an unnamed "arrl
manual".

Can you identify this alleged manual or not?

What is proper use of a QSL (or improper?) Neither ARRL, FCC, K4YZ, or KB9RQZ have any authority to tell anyone how to use a QSL, so I guess you're just blowing smoke about a topic you have no understanding of.

As usual.
