Go here to the Radio Reference web site. Lots of good information:
http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=226 I am not familiar with the software that you have, but the control channels are the frequencies in the trunked system that send out the digital data that tells all the radios in the system what frequencies to switch to. They can be identified because they transmit constantly a noise that sounds like a diesel engine idling. Your scanner uses these channels to trunk track the system, so you need these. Ken "Good Ol Dad" wrote in message ... Ok, acting on several persons advice, I bought ScanControl and find it fairly easy to use. However, I can't seem to figure what the control channels are that it keeps asking for. Is there a list somewhere that has recent freqs and control channels for the Fort Myers-Lee County, Florida area. After I obtain them, where do I tell the program what they are? Thanks Again to all those that helped me and will continue to do so, Mike - SW Fl |
