I'm no lover of RS and agree that they slowly circling the drain. However,
before people post this crap, you should go to their web site and look before believing some urban legend web site. If you did, you'd see scanners and shortwave. Not a lot but they are there. www.radioshack.com wrote in message oups.com... lsmyer wrote: According to the blackfriday.info website, Radio Shack doesn't appear to be offering any shortwave radios or scanners on sale this year: http://tinyurl.com/y99v3r And I bet, no HD Radios either ! |

Umm, no. There are two radio items in the ad; here's what I sent to
the DXLD Yahoo group: Hi, all! Got a Thanksgiving sale flyer from Radio Shack yesterday in which they list their special sale items for that day and the following weekend. On the Friday/Saturday/Sunday page they list the analog-tuning AM/FM/SW crank-up radio with flashlight and cellphone charger #20-238 at $19.99; this one has the RS name and not Eton on it, and the cosmetics are different from the Eton models. Regular price is $39.99. There is also a handheld scanner #20-528 at $99.99 (regular $169.99); they don't mention what the model # is, not give any details of the frequency coverage, but they do say it is "Triple-Trunking" and has 1000 channels. For what it's worth... 73, Will |
