I have just recently purchased the Uniden BR330T. I was wondering, is
their any antenna that anyone recommends to have a better signal pickup other then the antenna that comes with it? I have one station that I like to listen to, except where I live, it comes in, but you have to be careful where you place the scanner to pick it up. Thanks for any suggestions. |

Grove Enterprises sells a telescoping whip antenna for $14.95 that's advertised as having 3 dB gain over a stock rubber duck. I've bought several of these from Grove, and my opinion is that the Grove antenna performs as good or better than the telescoping whip available from Radio Shack. The Grove antenna also seems to have a better build quality than the Radio Shack telescoping whip. If you read the reviews of the 20-006 antenna at Radio Shack's web site, you'll notice that the main customer complaint about the antenna is that it breaks rather easily. 73, David |
