missing info
I have a RS PRO-83 scanner - I have very little knowledge but have managed
to program the frequencies I want to monitor and have it set to scan those and the skywarn channel. I'm hoping someone can either tell me this happens to everyone or can tell me how to stop it - when I'm listening to a transmission, every 3rd or 4th word seems to be dropped. It's very frustrating, like "911 call from --- --- Road. Caller says --- ---- three times today." Is it me, my settings or just how it is? I do have a delay setting and the 'DLY' only shows on the readout when a transmission is happening and disappears when scanning. I've tried turning delay on and off and this happens either way. Any help - thanks! Mary |

As Evan wrote, it is probably the prioroty setting. It looks at the prioroty
channel every 3-5 seconds. Rob "Evan Platt" wrote in message ...
