Default In the next days, WSEAS Editor-in-Chiefs will give us the acceptanceratio for 2007

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to promote you the email below (from Prof. Demiralp)
which will be very important for you, because
many of you had sent papers to his conferences in Istanbul

Only papers that were received acceptance for 3 over 3
reviewers plus the positive opinion of Professor Demiralp]
were promoted after review on the extended and enhanced version
(more than 40% new material than the conference version)
(Algorithm: 2 positive opinions and 1 negative opinion implies
rejection, 2 positive opinions means that we must wait for the 3rd

For more details, contact Prof. Demiralp
, see also below
Acceptance Rate = 6/200 = 0.03

In the next days, all the WSEAS Editor-in-Chiefs will give us the
acceptance ratio for 2007
that will be approximately similar to that of Prof. Demiralp
Their emails and telephones can be given to you if you doubt of

Subject: WSEAS (Istanbul Manuscripts)

Dear Prof. Mastorakis

Tonight I have not slept, hence, possibly I may be absent
minded. I present the decisions and explanations about Istanbul
manuscripts. After this e-mail, I am going to send manuscripts'
PDF files. Last evening I urged all referees by phone and I re-
ceived their opinions. As I said on the phone, zimedecisions
were sent to me and now it is complete. I also get together
Review Committee members (I, Baki, Alper and three more
scientists. After that I prepared the following lines.

There were 33 submitted manuscripts (selected after the
conference out of 200 papers from the WSEAS Conference in Istanbul),
only 6 of them have been accepted. You can see the recent status in
the following lines. They are marked by stars.

I will send PDF files of the manuscripts in separate mails
becuase of their sizes.

This afternoon or evening I will write more e-mail. Please
do inform me if you need something to be done by me.

Best Regards.

OUR EMAIL YESTERDAY is repeated:

We would like to thank you very much for your opinion, ideas
etc...regarding our association and our activities.
Please, note also that due to increase of subscriptions
in the WSEAS Journals (it means less cost per unit)
and due to the stricter selection of the
papers (smaller Journals) the WSEAS Transactions will be given
in a very small price (from january 2008).
For example, the cost of each journal will be 10-15 EUR plus mailing
expenses, while the annual subscription will be less or equal of 100
EUR.

At this moment, the current issues of 2007 are being printed out.
Unfortunately, several authors have enforced to send their papers
for 2nd and 3rd time, to the Reviewers and this has increased the
delay.

The new issues of the WSEAS journals will be on the Web in a few days
and will contain about 5 papers / issue.
Please, visit in a few days:
http://www.worldses.org/journals/index.html

You are also encouraged to send your papers directly to WSEAS journals
directly (not necessarily through the conference, because
only the best papers from a conference are promoted to a WSEAS
Journal).

In 2007, the WSEAS entities received approximately double number
of papers in relation with 2006.
So, there journals (mainly those that are related with Electrical
Engineering / Computer Science where we have 5% accepted, 95%
rejected.
This was decision of a discussion among the Editors-in-Chief 9via
internet). You can contact them, if you like, visiting the Web pages
of the various WSEAS Journals.

The highest Rejection Rate is in the WSEAS Trans. on ADVANCES in
ENGINEERING EDUCATION (Editor-in-Chief Professor Jose Carlos
Quadrado, where only one paper from a conference has been accepted for
additional journal publication until now)

We are also waiting news from the conferences in Istanbul (May 2007),
Hangzhou (April 2008) and from all the other conferences of
June-July-August-September etc....
Up to now and after several rounds of review, the WSEAS has not
received any accepted paper. You see, it is difficut, to find 3
Positive Opinions from 3 independent international experts.
Several times the authors are asked to re-write again their paper
and re-submit and as you understand this makes things more difficults.

Please, check
http://www.worldses.org/journals/index.html

Our aim is to add the WSEAS transactions in the ISI Index
and this policy is necessary.
On the other hand, several journals will be issued 4 times
per year (and not 12) starting from January of 2008.

In fact, the effort had already started in 2007, but in 2007
many Libraries and Individuals had already paid their subscription
and it was impossible to make the Journals quarterly within 2007.

New!
WSEAS has arranged the publication of the best papers of other various
conferences (outside WSEAS) within 2008.
There is none cost for the organizers and none cost for the authors.
If you have your own conference, contact us. The Society opens the
gates of its journals, not only to the authors of the WSEAS
Conferences, but for other authors from various conferences (not
necessarily organized, co-organized, sponsored or co-sponsored by the
WSEAS). If you are interested in collaboration, contact us.

Only one thing is our target:

The Indexing of WSEAS journals from ISI Index
(We have achived for the books - hard copy of the proceedings and if
we
work hard will achieved it also for the journals)

Thanks
