I would like to get a portable scanner for use in Chicago. I live near US
Cellular field so I am not too sure about interferrence I might receive. I am particularly interested in monitoring CPD, ISP and CFD. I am also interested in monitoring Midway airport tower (assuming the distance isn't too far for a portable: about 5 miles). Since CFD is testing digital and CPD has digital channels assigned is it worth spending the money to go digital now or should I wait until they cut over? Who knows when that will be. I am retired and money is limited, but I would rather buy what I need now rather than buy something that will be useless in a year or two. I would appreciate your opinions. Thanks, Joe |
