From what I’ve heard so far I did hear an aircraft specify they were
entering W-158. W-158 is the warning area which is off the Northern Florida coast. Also they sent an aircraft to check weather along IR-033. IR-033 is an Instrument Route that runs into W-158 and connects to the Florida Coast just north of St. Augustine. Mention also was made of an aircraft that will “ready” in the Eglin area at T Minus Zero time (at 1630 Z). There is some concern over a line of thunderstorms in the Tallahassee, FL area. Just by putting all this together (I could be wrong but will risk getting egg on my face) would there be an actual cruse missile launch from the Atlantic Ocean towards Eglin AFB? If so it looks like T-0 will be at 1630Z. Keep your heads up to the sky….. George http://www.MilAirComms.com |
