Hello,
I am thinking of getting a hand held trunk scanner that I can connect to my PC to program. I don't think I need digital, because I dont think it's used in my area. But I know trunk systems are used in one large city I'd like to listen to. Looking for something in the $150-$250 range, new or used. Can anyone suggest models or brands I should look for? Thanks, Tommy |

I have the PRO 95, and from a newbie I find it to be a very good scanner.
It's easy to use, easy enough that I can have my mom use it to listen in on the Police and the neighbors ![]() I haven't had a trouble with it yet, and I've brought it with me to a lot of places and along on a lot of bike rides. Adding a discriminator output was easy too. Battery consumption seems fine, although I have nothing to compare it with. I am using NiMH batteries.. Thanks, Tommy The PRO95 is on sale at radioshack for $199 and you can get a BC245 for about the same price. I would recommend the PRO95. -- Dwayne http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BC895/ |
