Default Interference from computer

When i use my handheld near my computer I get a buzzing noise on certain
channels. How do I stop this? I'm using a Pro 92 and a desktop computer

Either turn off the monitor or see if an LCD display will cause less
interference.

Not much you can do but get the radio away from the PC.

I don't know if it will do any good (probably not), but maybe try changing
the refresh rate on your monitor. The reason I suggest it is that it's
about the only setting on your computer that you can really fiddle with
easily, that could be a source of interference. It's possible that your
monitor might produce less emissions at a different refresh rate.

Try Ferrite chokes on all the lines coming out of the computer. Keep the
chokes as close to the case as possible. Also try all the monitor tricks you
can find they are notorious for generating interference. Try another scanner
because R/S is prone to cheep construction and no filtering. You can also
try an outside antenna and keep the coax well away from the computer,
monitor and all the cables. Good Luck
