Second, I believe you can program the out of range freqs into the scanner with the software.. You don't need to use the computer each time. Of course like you said, the performance is poor. Thanks for letting me know its freeware, wasn't aware of that. Can't remember which package it was (however it wasn't free) which offered the same thing (can't remember which scanner either). But it would only program the scanners search range for MilAir, not actual channels.
