Default Pro-94 How to set trunking.

I just got a RS Pro-94 but when I follow the instructions for entering
trunking frequencies it doesn't scan for the data channel.

I got the frequencies from a website and entered them according to the
instructions on the RS support site. (http://tinyurl.com/568p) When I press
SRC at the end it just sits there not searching or scanning. I even tried
the other instructions for the "A" model where you press SCAN then SRC. It
scans but it doesn't search like the instructions say.

Am I missing something really obvious?

Does anyone have trunked frequencies for Oklahoma City and an idiot guide
to entering them?

Dazed and confused.... :-/

Is it possible that you don't have all the freq's in it? One time I had a
scanner programmed and up and running and it suddenly quit trunking. Come
to find out that the city had added more freq's to the system and moved the
data channel to one of the newly added frequencies. Thought I was going nuts
before I figured it out. Tulsa used to have 20 freqs but now has 30.

Would it not even search without all the frequencies? When I enter the
frequencies as the RS site tells me the scanner doesn't do anything at
the last step. It sits on the last channel/frequency I entered. Or it
starts to scan if I follow the steps for model "A". Is this the way model
"A" trunks?

Could you post the frequencies for Tulsa here Rob? I sometimes get up
there so I could try them.

Here they are, it's a Motorola system. I should have some info on the OKC
system if I haven't lost it. I just changed from AOL to Cox highspeed and
didn't get everything out of AOL before I dumped it. If I can locate the url
to the web site that had a lot of Okla info on it I'll send it on.

Cheers, Rob Mills

Alex;

Have you stepped through the bank containing the Tulsa trunked
system's frequencies MANUALLY? If your not hearing a
control channel audio continuos buzzing on one or more of the frequencies,
then as has been stated your missing a frequency(s)

Another possibility is, if you do have all the systems frequencies loaded
into the PRO-94 correctly then you may be out of range of the trunking
repeater(s)
And one last thing did you set that bank to the correct trunking mode before
entering the frequencies? try going back through the set up to see mode is
set correctly.
here's a site to look up frequencies
http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/genmen/index.hts

You can look for other trunking systems and or other Tulsa frequencies
by doing a frequency search in the 800 MHZ range. When a control channel is
found
look it up at the FCC site to get all the other frequencies licensed with it.

Excellent idea, I never thought of that.
